REVOLUTION WITHIN | SOIL SCIENCE | FRIENDSHIP | GARDEN BEE |
Now, more than ever we see the value of organisations like the Transition Towns movement, who work at the local level to bring people together to move towards a just and low-carbon future.
People on the east coast have been left reeling after another ‘unprecedented’ climate disaster, where emergency services have been stretched to their limits, while clean ups and recovery are being organised by local communities.
By creating communities within communities, like our garden working bees, beach clean ups and informative events, and your input to these local activities, keeps the cogs clicking over and glues us together.
Saturday 26 March marks Earth Hour, the world’s biggest movement to protect our planet. Join the hundreds of millions in more than 7,000 cities who take part by switching off for 60 minutes.
There’s also a great event we’re involved – the ACFs Family Eco Forum Sat 26/3, 2-6pm, Margaret Whitlam Recreation Centre, Waverley Park. It celebrates the positive stories and climate solutions available now, with inspiring speakers plus fun stuff for the kids.
