Carrots and Cosmetics!

After a morning in our community garden recently, mid-week, I was proudly carrying home some harvest in my basket – carrots, spinach and herbs.

In the short distance from the garden to my home there’s a small business located in a side street, that makes cosmetics – from natural products, as it turns out.

On a sunny morning it is common to see on the pavement, two or three people from Ere Perez Natural Cosmetics setting up for a photoshoot . This was such a day, and I happened to greet them as I passed, and proudly showed them our harvest.

Turns out that they make cosmetics from natural products, and were preparing their marketing material about a cream made from carrot! So bingo! Our carrots became famous (actually they weren’t very big) in a surprising place, and the human encounter on that day has brought a closer connection.
